About
Wendy Sisler, a native of Hatteras Island with roots reaching back for many generations, left the Island only to return. She has lived in Saudi Arabia, Ibiza and New York City before coming back to her home of Hatteras Village.
Jewelry has been a life-long passion of Wendy's, an attraction fed by exotic beads, stones and finely crafted metals. After her first class in lamp working glass beads, Wendy discovered her art. Family Jewels, her studio and shop, is located on Route 12 at the entrance to Hatteras Village on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Her studio is a welcoming place where customers can observe Wendy at her art or create mode-to-order beads themselves for one-of-a-kind necklaces, bracelets and earrings. While Wendy attributes much of her own skills to what she has learned from master glass makers across the country, her greatest inspiration will always be the every changing natural beauty of Hatteras Island.
